From the moment you step inside, you are greeted by attentive and warm service that makes you feel right at home. According to patrons like David Fletcher, the food is nothing short of amazing, showcasing fresh, locally grown produce that elevates each dish. The fact that ingredients are sourced from their own garden speaks volumes about the commitment to quality and sustainability.
Alex Curthoys tantalizes our taste buds with a glowing recommendation for the faggottini with truffle and ricotta, a dish that he claims had his entire dining party wishing for a lifelong marriage to the chef. This delightfully rich pasta hand-in-hand with other offerings, such as the slow-cooked meats that literally fall off the bone and perfect homemade gnocchi, ensures that every bite is an unforgettable moment.
Moreover, the reviews consistently highlight the exceptional standards maintained at Grotto Mulin di ciöss. David Burke raves about their risotto dishes, declaring them a must-try, alongside the extraordinary ovalmaltine mousse that many diners describe as heavenly. Each dish tells a story crafted with love and care, making every meal feel like a cherished family gathering.
Whether you dine here for lunch or dinner, the atmosphere is welcoming and filled with the essence of community. As PARSY Christophe beautifully states, every aspect of the experience—from the location to the service and the lovingly prepared local food—adds to the joy of dining at Grotto Mulin di ciöss. For those considering a visit, do remember it’s a cash-only establishment; a minor detail that’s well worth noting to avoid any surprises.
In essence, Grotto Mulin di ciöss is not just a restaurant but a celebration of local cuisine and warm hospitality. Make the effort to visit; it might just ruin other culinary experiences for you, as Alex Curthoys humorously suggests. After all, a meal here is sure to create lasting memories with every bite.
“ If you don’t go to this restaurant when you’re anywhere within an hour radius you’re missing out. We went here on our last night in the area and wish we’d done it on the first, everything else we ate during the week paled in comparison. Make sure you don’t skip the faggottini with truffle & ricotta that had us all wanting to marry the chef. Slow cooked meats that fell off the bone and home made gnocchi that was just perfect. We felt like we had dinner with family and the service was absolutely exceptional with great priced for the standard of food, service and the gorgeous location. A real gem of the region that may have ruined pasta for me forever as I don’t think anything else will compare. Thanks! ”
“ A very special experience. Magical ambiance, exquisite food, lovely staff. Great for vegetarians too. When we went it was cash only, and it’s in Switzerland so default is francs but they took euros. I hesitated to publish a review because I hope it stays a local gem but I wouldn’t have found it without reviews from others. ”

Lovely to see produce being grown in the garden and being used in the dishes. It’s a beautiful place, too - worth making the effort to get there. It’s cash only, so be prepared! ”
